Well, I may not be doing much more extra work, but that does not mean I am giving up on theatre. Today I got myself an audition for a musical, "Bye Bye Birdie." True it is one of the stupidest musicals there is, right up there with 42nd Street. But on the bright side at least it is a funny stupid musical. It's so stupid it is hilarious. My audition is not for a few weeks (Tuesday March 16th at 7:05 pm) but all I have to do is prepare 16 bars of Up-Tempo music and bring a picture and résumé. I'm thinking something from Grease or Rent, but if anyone else has any suggestions I am more than happy to hear them.

I found this on the Arrested Developement Eppisode Guide today pm Febuary 22nd. I am again so sorry for giving everyone the wrong date ( these people are frustrating! they keep pushing the show back further and further!) this is now the second time it has been pushed back, but it makes sence because the 22nd is the day of the SAG awards, and it is it's first season so other shows get presidence. Again I am sorry, and I realy hope they does not push it back anymore, but you can read it for yourself:

Tuesday February 17th: Princess Diaries II
I meant to make a post on this a while ago, but I have been occupied by other things lately.
So, Princess Diaries starts Julie Andrews and Ann Hathaway. Both very nice people, and very beautiful. Julie Andrews is at least 59 now, but I never would have guessed that, in fact I only know because my mother told me. She is so very British and "refined." For example while all the other actors walk around in pink fluffy slippers she walks around the set in town house shoes (actors can't wear those uncomfortable heels all the time) She is also very very polite, but I suppose I always expected her to be.
Ann Hathaway is quiet, very quiet. She also had not memorized her lines. Ann Hathaway is thinner than she looks in movies, which is surprising because she looks like a twig in movies anyway. They put her in a skirt suit that gave her a bit extra padding all over, but her legs looked so thing I am not sure how she stands on them. But she is very pretty. I have had two or three people say I look like her (my roommate Rachel and my friend Beth) but I completely disagree! I am not anorexic!
John Rhys-Davies was also in the scene they were filming that day. For those of you who do not know who that is, he played Gimli the Dwarf in "The Lord of the Rings." Very very nice man. He came around to all of the extras telling us how good a job we were doing, not even the assistant director does that in fact noon does! So he was my favorite actor on the set. I was holding fake roses to give to "the queen" in this scene and he came up to me and said he liked the flowers. Well they are fake, so I said, "yes hey are beautiful, and they smell like plastic," he laughed and said it was his favorite kind. Yes, John Rhys-Davies is the coolest.
But here is the real news from Tuesday. Central casting gave me a call time of 8:30 (though they deny it) so of course what time do I get there? 8:30. But when I am there the three guys behind the sign in table gave me this odd look. One of them says I am early, the other says I am late. one says I was supposed to be there at 6, the other says 10. By this point I am very confused because I thought I was on time and then the third says "did you get a call" well, I thought a phone call that morning telling me that the time had changed, but seeing as how my cell phone broke on Monday evening or course I got no call. They signed me in and that was that...or so I thought! Apparently what they meant was a call time! And when I said no they called central casting saying that they sent over a girl without a call time, central got in a lot of trouble and were trying to contact me all morning. It ended up getting straitened out in the end, but no after a few mean words from Mary-Ann who works over at central (and who gave me the wrong call time to begin with!) Uh what a mess! And all because these people did not specify and I did not understand!
Other than that it was a good day. A long day, but a good day. I got a sag voucher, and I met Julie Andrews and John Rhys-Davies, and learned how to play spades. I was only on set for about an hour or two, but I was at the studio for 11 hours. WHY? I don't know, but I was! and I got paid for playing spades for 5 hours! I had so many cups of coffee I could not sleep that night, but, that’s o. K. because I was paid union rates.

Three times this week I have been called by Central Casting asking if i could be in "Princess Diaries 2" and every time i say no they sound so disappointed (because they know that they will have to find someone else who has not had a fitting) well after they called me three times in class (and my teachers get so angry when my phone goes off in class) and they offered me a sag voucher...well...i said yes. Just this once i will miss class and meet Julie Andrews and get my first sag voucher... would I am kinda excited. I would not have said yes, but it is a day that we are doing very little and the experience is...well...I'm kinda excied....SAG VOUCHER! But I really can't afford to miss much school for it, but...just this once....I believe I can make an acceptation. Maybe then they will stop calling me!

I finally found out when the first two shows I was in are airing.
1. Arrested Development: the episode is titled Shock and Awe
Look for me in the high school dance seen. I will be just behind the actors as they are arguing and when the Asian kid (you will understand when you watch) is dancing, I cross in front of the camera…dancing. I am wearing a gray skirt and a blue cardigan.
Airing February 22nd at 9:30 on fox?
2. I’m With Her: the episode is titled Winners & Losers & Whiners & Boozers
Look for me in the hallway of the high school where two teachers are arguing over which is the best teacher (one hasn’t given homework for 3 days and the other has shows 3 movies in one week) I can be seen in the background wearing jeans, high heals and a leather jacket. Oh yeah, and I dive for candy and if you hear “ow, you stepped on my hand” that’s ME
Airing March 2nd
That is all I know so far, but believe me I will continue to check and post once I know.

So, the episode of "Arrested Development" is going to be on in a few weeks (I have been keeping tabs on it) but I did not realize that I had actually posted the original day it was supposed to be aired. (Sorry) They pushed the episodes back and so I do not know when it is going to be aired yet. Best I can say is not this week. But I will be checking up on it every week (as well as the other shows I am on) and I will post it when I know.

"Malcom In The Middle" Friday January 30th
So, i was on Malcome in the Middle. And i kinda enjoyed it. The call was 8:00 am so i woke up at 6 nd got all of my stuff togather and was out the door by 7 ( because i had to put a rediculous amount of make up on as always ) and headed over to CBS Radford. When i got there, i learned that the call time had been changed to 10! ( i could have slept for 2 more hours!) and i was not able to go home becasue by 8 traffica had begun to pick up and what took me 20 minutes a 7 would have taken me an hour and a half at 9. But lucky for me, Matts house is close by! in fact it takes 10 minutes on the backroads, so i headed over there and crashed at mattts for an hour before heading back to CBS.
All the other extras had to be in the background shots all day, but the other three girls and I chosen for the "featured extra" spot were told to stay in holding and snack on the food they provided and jus chill untill they needed us.
So here is what i did do. When they needed us, Alison, Tammy, Yoko, and I ( can you believe someone actually names there child YOKO? she is from Japan, and it means something...though i can't remember what... ) anyways, the our of us were placed at a table ( which lunch trays in frunt of us ) and the character of Reese...played by Justin Bakerfield.... is seated accros the table from us. and he sais "Come on, there are lots of reason to go our with me, to make your boyfriend jealous, or to make your parents mad. maby you just hate yourself or have a sick sence of humour...I don't know, i can't do all the work for you!" and he gets up and walks over to Frankie Muniz.
First they had the camera on Justin, then after they had filmed that a few times they got it from a few angles and then they turned th camera on the four of us. Firts they got all for of us together reacting ( we were all digusted ) then they did a pan of all of us, then they got the two girls in the middle together, and then they focased on just me, and then just yoko. yeah, it was cool.
Only thing that wasn't was that i had to eat the food they put in frunt of me. It was supposed to be lunch and i was the one who had to take a bit when justin started talking to us and then look disgusted, and like i was loosing my appitite. The food wasn't too bad ( chicken ) but eveyone else around me was asking why i woudl eat it ( it was just made, there was nothing wrong with it, and it was real food! ) but everyone had the impression that seeing as how it was food on the set, it had to be grose ( it was made by the same people who made their lunches, which they ate a few hours later! so... ) anyways, after a few taks, i was full and didn't want to eat anmore, but i had to take a bite for ever single time we ran through the scene ( which covered 3-4 pieces of chicken! )
Well, thre as not much to it after that. Justn liked my drawings ( to make the scene look better thay asked me to put my notebook on the table, opened with my drawing from that morning and the night before on it ) as did the AD and Frankie. ( all very nice people )
Oh yeah! after Justin gets up to talk to Frankie he sais "I though i at least had a chance with the fat one." At this point i looked around and notice that all the other girls were skinny! .... and i thought i was the fat one...so i said it out loud "oh no, i am the fat one" and the other girls were like "YOU? no, i am the fat one" it was halarious, for 10 minutes we were all convinced that we were the fat one, and we were kinda fighting over it like "well i weigh 130!" and "Yeah, well i weigh 135, and none of it is muscle, it is all fat!" So we asked justing and he looed at all four of us for a second and said none of us were fat ( though i am sure he just didn't want to make any of us feel bad ) it was very funny though!

"The OC" Thuresday January
Ok, the OC....well...agaom i have seen this show ( i suppose i don't watch s much television as i though i did ) but, it realy didn't look interesting at all. The two scenes I was in were suposed to take place at an airport, but they can't use a realy airport ( becasue that would be expensive to close for a day) so they fimed it as a cruse port in San Pablo. ( about 45 minutes away from my house on a good day ) I though I was lucky, call time at 1:00 pm. which ment that I was an;e tp spend a good portion of the morning with mattt. I left my house at 11:00 and made it to San Pablo at 12:30 ( in plenty of time ) only then to learn that it was such a late call because it was a night shot, and they woudl not even start until 6:00 they got all 200 enxtras there by 3 so that they codl go through a couple of practaces ( becasue the more extras the harder the shot and the more practace you need on it. I had t vome extra early because they were using my car in the backgroun ( that means an extra 15 dollars )
So, i hung aorund for 5 hours, talking to people, listening to Harry Potter on tape, and drawing. At about 5:30 they served us what they called dinner, but it was hardly edable. You see, they decided to cook food from New Orleans....red beans and rice, Jambolaya, and gumbo. Just as an example as to how bad the food was, the rice was so undercooked, it was completely crunchy, not partually completely, this of corse ruins the jambolaya which was mixed with it, and the red beans which were too mixede in. The only they they did not ruin compeatly was the gumbo, ( that is as long as you don't put rice in it as you are supposed to ) So, all i ate was gumbo ( and lots of t ) ceasar salad, and fruit salad.
After dinner we started filming. very uneventfull. I spend about 4 hours sitting in a set of chairs with this guy Kevin and this girl Alison talking about....well anything an everyhting, then 2 hours of walking around in the background. yes, uneventfull ( though i did get to take a look at the actors, and the girl was wearing AWFULL clothing. I had seen her earlier and was wondering how she got through wordrope becasuse she was wearing thsi gray frilly shirt and purple stalking, and black pointed witch shoes. Well, i didn't like it anyways. ( and neither did any of the other extra, or the actress who was wearing it, she complained about it for hours )
I got about by 12:00, which means i was home by one, which does not sound bad, but I had another call in the morning ( an 8:00 am call ) and the most sleep i coudl expect was about 4 hours. ( and that is not a lot ) because i have to wake up 2 hours earlier than the call time to get where i am going ) and that is were day two picks up.
