A Bit Of A Day Off

Last night i was woken up at 2 in the morning by someone calling me the number on my cell phone ( becasue they called my cell phone ) was (912) 399 2798. Now, i do not know who this was, but it bothered me very very much, becasue i was in the middle of a very good dream! i awnsered the phone and the man on the line ( more of a buy realy ) said "who is this?" now realy, who does that, call some odd number at two in the morning as as who it is on the other line. i said "it's two am, who it this?" and he said that he wanted to know wh i was becasue he had gotten this number from his teacher. ( i forgot what the teachers name was ) How wierd is that? i don't even know where the area code 912 is! much less anyone around there. And even if i did, i woudl not expect them to call me at 2 am! so i hung up. Five to ten minutes later i recieved another call from the same person but this time he tried disguising his voice, I assume he did not know that he was calling me on a cell phone ( or else he is an idiot and did not realize that cell phones have coller ID ) " um, hello " he said in a high piched voice ( obveously still him ) "this is-" thats where I cut him off saying "look, i don't know who you are, but it is 2 am and i am trying to get some sleep. So, i would appreciate it if you would stop calling me, and next time, don't call someone with caller id." I heared a squeek, and the phone went dead. So, whoever it was, i hate you.
Today I had an interview for "Malcome in the Middle." I didn't ahve to show up for the interview untill 6:00 pm so i could have done some other job during the day, but I didn't because if i get the part, than i will need to work on Friday, and i still needed to get my book s for school, SO i took the say off to do that.
But first, i signed up for an audition for one of the school plays cally Devitas Harp. ( I audition next Wednesday, giving me one week to prepare for it, and i am going to need it ) After that i met Mattt i frunt of the bookstore to get books ( i only needed three becasue i am taking 3 theatre classes and a volleyball class, and you don't need books for them ) then we went to lunch ( because i was very hungry and had no food in the house ) then we went to the grocery store becasue mattt and i were BOTH out of food, and this way he did not have to carry it home 4 blocks because i could drive him, washed the car because i am using it in a scene tomorrow and it needed to be cleaned ( and we washed Matt's grandpas car to ) yeah, nice day for doing stuff that needed getting done.
And then comes the Interview. It was 7 other girls and i all trying for the same 3 parts ( and i realy hope i got it ) The idea is the older brother reese? is asking this girl out and she just looks at him with a look of "why would i ever go out with you?" ( thats me!) or a scene where a nark asks two girls who are waling buy if they have any "papers" at which they give a look of "oh please" ( thats me as well ) so we all give our looks and they say thanks and thats it. ( very little to it isnt there )
The only thin that realy made the interview interesting is the conversations thati had with the other girls. I wore on of mattts hatts ( he left it in my car earlier that day ) for those of you who know mattts hatts well, it was ski cap looking one with many bits of colored fabric attached to the top ( very nice, very colorfull, very out there ) the interviewers like it ver much, but the other girls though it was...very cool. As we were standing in the hall the girl on my left turned to me and sayd it was very nice, to which i sayd "oh i know, it is so sexy" and she replyed "yeah, if i was a guy, i'd do you" ( a quote from heartbreakers ) then all the other girls joined in. So Mattt, they loved your hat ( though i don't think that any of them would have worn it )
So that was the mojority of my day. A bit duller than usualy, but seeing as how i was tired and needed sleep and had a lot of other things I needed to do today it was perfect. So everyone cross your fingers for me! pray to whatever deity you worship and ask them to get me this part on Malcome in the Middle, because it will be the last job i do before i start school again, and it woudl be great to finish on a show i know.
Good night everyone ( pray )

I'm With Her

Today was not as interestng as yesterday, i wish it had been, but it wasn't. I have never seen "I'm Wither Her" ( a television show ) but from what i saw today, looks stupid...somehting about a male teacher who marries a movie star.?.
I was only in one shot today, and a very quick one it was too. My call was 10:am, but it was hard waking up anyway becasue I was sore from the day before and exaustead because i had gotten little to no sleep the night before. So i woke up at 8:30 so i could get everyhting together and leave by 9. There was SO much traffic on the freeway. It normally takes me 20 minutes to get to the Warner Brothers Studio but becasue it was 9 in the morning it took me an hour, and i got there just in time.
I sat in holding ( where they keep the extras untill they are ready for us ) for about an hour, maby longer, eating bagels and scrambled eggs, ( yum yum ) and pepsie ( they didn't have coke )
I was in a highschool scene in a hallway. Standing there chatting and the scene wwent on. I made a few crosses etc. and then, one of the teachers starts trwoing candy ( becasue he wants all of the students to vote for him as teacher of the year ) and everyone in the hallways ( Me included ) at one point i stood up and noticed that my knee was hurting i looked down and saw two large blood spots on my jeans about the size of a quarter each, and a large rip in my jean. apparently i had scratched my knee ( fairly badly) and ruined my favorite pair of jeans. It's just a good thing i had them because it woudl ahve been a lot deeper had i not had them on. ( they should have payed me more for getting injured on their set, but they didn't)
After they did the scene the had the extras make some background noise and some noise for the scramble for chocolate. So, should anyone see the scene you will hear me in the background saying "Ouch, you steped on my foot!" and when we are hanging around in the hallway...though i can't rememebr what i said, only that i was able to talk for 2 minutes strat about nothing in perticular ( course those who know me prabably are not suprised in the least )
I was out by 1:30 ( but payed for 8 hours, isn't extra work great!) and was home by 2 so that i could call in for work tomorrow. ( and so i coudl watch a little tv which i had not realy been able to do in a while) and of course dancing around the house to oldies with a giant green scarf ( a daily activity )

AMERICAN DREAMS
January 26th 2004

I don't know if anyone has ever watched AMERICAN DREAMS, but it is a period piece, that means, i get to dress like i am in the 60's wahoo. I had to be at the set at 5 am! do you know how early that is? i didn't even know there was a 5 am! Amd i got no sleep the night before because i couldn't even fall asleep untill 12, had to wake up at 3:45, and i woke up every hour because i was terrified that i woudl not wake up to the alarm. But it was alright, because once i got out there i was very much awake.
I was given a ver grose looking bathing suit that is ment to look like it is from the 60's but it is real from the wearhouse where all the close that are too ugly to wear are kept ( oh, did i mention this was a swimming scene? outside? at 5 am? in JANUARY!?!... well it was ) and tennis shoes tha remind me of my mother favorite shoes ( cute, flat, and white ) that was all i got to wear ( so i had a sweater with me all morning ) then i went over to hair and makeup. hair put my hair in a ponytail ( like i can't do that myself!) and makup gave me extra eyeliner.( and lots of it ) and then later i was given a swim cap ( oh yeah! nothing nicerlooking than a swim cap is there )
They fed us a nice breakfast which i ate with a nice group of people i met: Neal, Phil, elmo ( he would not tell us his name, just to call him elmo...so we did ) Sarah and Tammy. Very nice people. Very nice breakfast. Omlets that they make right there for you, fruit, etc. oh it was great. The 5 of us got our food and managed to find a heater that we all huddled around ( becasue it was 5 in the morning and very very cold!) we played uno, and chatted, and i found out a lot about them.
At 8 or so they tok us out to the pool 85 degrees ( 50 outside the water ) it was warm enough i suppose, better than being outside in that cold air. ( as some people were ) ther group of 5 that i had met all chilled together in the water, and once we started filming all hell broke loose. we were told to look like it was hot and we were having fun ( which caused a lot of jokes becasue after all it was very very cold outside ) so we were splashing each other and then we played chicken ( i won every time ) and the for the hell of it we started flipping each other...the girsl were easy to dunk, but the guys! man! i was dunked so many times that my eyes are now red and puffy from the water....i spent more time under the water than out of it. Neal was the best though, he was impossible for us to flip. Just about every time i tried i ended up under the water. ( i think the final score was 8 to 3, and not in favor of me ) You can just immagine what this did to my eyeliner! not to mention the mascara.
Lunch was great, all the same foods a usualy, steak, chicken and CAJON STYLE CATFISH! not as black as i woudl like it to be but very good none the less. Great salad, and cake, and cookies ( I am going to get so fat eating like this! ) it was UM UM good! the group ate together again, exceot that he other girls decided to go eat outside the tent that was set up for extra workers and we were joined by two other guy ( i don't know their names ) We spend the whole time talking about movies and tv shows ( everyone in the industry seems to like the same things, Family guy, Futurama, Boun Dock Saints, Waiting for Guffman, etc. etc. etc! oh yeah, and Donnie Darko...all great movies i might add!) then we went back to the pool.
By this point it was Neal, phil, Sarah and i in our group. ( the others decided that being in the pool was not good enough anymore. they wanted to be scene by the camera ) after lunch very few were in the pool anymore. After it started getting warmer outside people didn't want to be wet anymore, but we were having so much fun! so we stayed in. We continue splashing and flipping each other ( sometimes sara and i had to gang up on phil and neal, but it was not bad ) arond this time i learned hat sara was 23, phil was 22, and neal was 24...and i am 18....at least 4 years younger than the youngest of them...not like it means anything, i looked the oldest out of the 4 of us ( and i don't look that old ).
At the end of the day ( which ended at 4:30 ) we all changed back into the clothes we brought ( very sun burned) and walked to our cars ( i now smell like clorine ) Neil and i were both taking the 101 becasue we both live in the valley, so i don't realize it but i am right behind him, and i am dancing to my 60's and 70's music in the car when i pull up to turn right and take a look to my left. There is neal laughing as gard as he can becasue i am singing and dancing in my car...so of course i started laughing too. I know i look funny singing along and dancing in my car, but i love doing it. it's a lot of fun. Neil was laughing so hard he missed the green light and the cars behind him got very upset! lol. ( serves him right for laughing at me )
Traffic home was terrible. it took me for ever to get there. ( and it guzzled a quart of a tank ) but on the way i got a job for tomorrow on "I'm With Her: ( i don't know what it is about, when it airs, who is one it, etc. )
Unfortunaly though, i am not going to be able to be on Princess Diarys 2. i wanted to be because i woudl be my first movie, and i woudl have gotten about twice the amount of money a day that i normally earn, but it was not ment to be. They are filming the scene i was booked in next week and i start school on monday, and school comes first. ( after all, i can be an extra later, on weekends, etc, but i am in school now, and i want to go farther than extra work in my life.
The only prablem that i am having with extra work is that I am enjoying it too much. I am rely realy enjoying it. I am meeting realy nice people, getting payed pritty well, it is exciting and i get fed great! so why would i want to give it up?...thats just the prablem. I don't want to give it up, and the longer i do it, the less i want to. ( it's almost like an addiction) and i am getting better and better all the time, so it is getting easier and easier. i almost don't want to go back to school, but ...of crose...if i don't i may never go back to school again, and as i sayd before i do wish to aspire to more than this...i am just enjoying to SO much right now.

well thats it for the day, i hope everyone had a great day, and have a great tomorow

January 26th 2004

I have been working as an extra for 2 weeks so far, and i have been on several shows:

1. Arrested Developement: January 13th
Heather Graham was the quest star, and I got to meet her. ( i was very excited ) i meet all of the other stars of the show but seeing as how I had never even heared of the show...i had no idea who they were. The show airs on Febuary 1st ( thats a sunday ) at 9:30 on...fox? i will be in the dance scene, usually just behind the actors wearing a gray skirt and a blue sweater. ( i may be more of a blur of blue and gray than anyhting else, but as long as i get payed, does it realy matter?)

2. Happy Family: January 19th
Actually i never saw this show either....but it was funny, they had two gys dressed up as giant teeth and i got to push one over...lol...this show kinda sucked though becasue they didn't feed us lunch. Arrested developemnt fed us a great lunch with steak and salmon and chicken and fruit and salad, and cheesecake....it was the best i had eaten in a long time...but happy familys was too cheep to do that They wanted to finish the show my one sot hat they didn't have to pay for our food, unfortunatly for them it went till two so they had to give us what is know as a meal penalty. ( basically we get 6.50 ) but it was not worth it at all, because the extras had to go get themselves lunch and the only thing near buy is a mcdonalds. ( now that sucks! ) i woudl take the catered food any day. I don't know when this one aires, but it is the eppisode with giant teeth in it...so i will keep my eyes opne and post it when i learn

3. Drew Carey: January 20th
Now this was great! On the oher two shows i had to wake up at 4 or 5 in order to get to the sets by 6am or so, but not for Drew Carey! i didn't have to be there untill 5pm. Also i had the best job ever on this show. I don't know how manny people have ever gone to see a taping of a television show, but when the seats are not filled ( and they were only half filled here ) than they hire extra workers to sit in the audience and watch the show. I didn the same thing these other people came to do, but i got payed for it. All i had to do was sit there and watch the show and laugh ( laugh all the way to the bank! ) i got 54 dollars for watching the tapeing of a how! while i was there i met this very nice guy and his friend. He was telling me how excied he was to be here watching the show, and how great it is that you can go see them for free, and i just laughed so hard i got a cramp, becasue i was getting payed to do it. Oh Yeah!

4. Princess Diarys 2 Fitting: January 21st
I have gotten myself booked in a movie, Princess Diarys 2. nto a great movie, but beggers can't be choosers now can they. The good news is that I will be able to meet Julie Andrews ( a childhood idol ) and i will be payed more for my work becasue it is a movie...oh yeah, and i will be working several days for this. I a going to be in the throne room scene as a "Genovian" oh won't that be fun. But inorder to be in a movie, they need to be sure well in advance that you are dressed exactly how they want you to me, so on January 21st i went to a costuming place called "John David Ridge Costuming." ( this was the company hired to do the cotuming for the movie ) and they gave me a costume. I was only there for about 20 minutes, and i was payed for it as well ( though it was next to nothing, $13.50 ) but it was very interestng walking down the hallway looking at all of the racks of costumes. They were only working on three scenes, but they had the majority of a large wearhouse stocked full of clohting for them. The only thing that was not fun was the walk from my car to the building. it was in LA near Hollywood Ave, but far enough down vine that walking around in the short little skirt they asked me to wear to the fitting was not at all fun! i had to walk a total of 2 blocks and recieved at least 14 whistles and calls from the countless hispanic and grubby white trash apparment owners/renter who leaned out there windows to watch me walk bye. Oh it was .... not fun. ( on the walk back i was a bit smarter though, i changed into loose jeans and and a large t shirt i had brought along and noone bothered to lean out their windows for someone dressed like that )

5. Run Of The House: january 22nd
I had actually heared of this show...though i had never seen it. Unfortunaly it did not do to well, and it may be cancled next year, or changed to another time. The show stars Joe Lawrence, Some other nice guy who was in a few stupid movies, and Marlow from even stevens ( i don't know her last name, and i don't know her characters name...i just know she is the boys friend ) on this who i played a softball player, and i will be seen in a few shots...playing in the outfield, in the dug out, and sititng in a circle around Joe Lawrence. This show was great because i didn't have to be there untill 8:30, and it was shooting 9 miles away from my house ( at Valley College where Mattt Ott works in the writing center ) They fed us realy well for bothe breakfast and lunch, omlets and pankakes and french toast, and grits, and cerial, and ogert, and fruti for breakfast, and then great steak and chicken and salmon and all kinda of other wonderfull things for lunch. plus lost and lost of snacks and candy!
The best part of this show was that i met Joe Lawrence. I realy liked him when i was little ( i thought he was very cute ) well, he was ...either having a bad day or....well...anyways, he was fussing about wanting to film right away and yelling at the crew becasue he could not hear the directors instructionsy. At one point he was talking abotu how much better baseball was then softball, at which point i informed him that softball is great for several reason for example there is more action becasue the ball does not go as far, so there are less home runs, and there is often a lot more stealing...yeah, i felt good about myself then. he game a s abit of a shocked look and then said..."good point."

Well thast all of the shows i have been on so far, but thats not all here will be, oh no!

January 23ed was a monthaversury for mattt and i ( i have never been a great speller, and i am sure that is not how monthavursury shudl be spelt, but seeing as how it is not a real word, IT DOENS'T MATTER and the dictionary can get throw out the window on this one ) I enjoyed it, matt and I toured LA a bit, and got as close to the hollywood sign as we could ( we woudl ahve gotten closer but was not dressed for hiking ) i like the way mattt and i celebrate ever month...nothing special, just spending the day together. It's a nice tradition.
